  • Nikon D3x 24-5MP DSLR exposed in official magazine

Nikon have revealed their new D3x DSLR camera, and chosen a somewhat old-skool way to do so: their print magazine, Nikon Pro.  The 24.5-megapixel, FX-format camera is capable of 5fps at full resolution or 10-megapixel shots at up to 7fps.  However there aren't the huge leaps in specification or capabilities that many would-be owners were hoping for.

ISO range is 100 to 1600, extendable to 50 and 6400 respectably, and the D3x is still based on the D3's 16-bit EXPEED processor.  51-point auto-focus, scene recognition and autofocus tracking are all present, together with a 3-inch LCD display, weather-resistant magnesium body and both HDMI and AV out ports.

It will be compatible with Nikon's wireless system, together with their GPS accessory for geo-tagging shots.  Still unknown is release date and pricing.
